A simple demonstration would be something like a solar panel, but one that can also cast the sun light it collected later on. Another possibility would be a mirror that has a delayed reflection time, light a candle in the room for an hour, take it out, and the mirror continues to reflect the light. I’m looking for any theories, current research, etc that relates. The reason for storing rather than just delaying the reflection is because of the possibility of three-dimensional movies, movies that literally look as though you are watching through a window. So give your ideas!

Then we could control the weather. If we had huge miles of ocean cities on piston driven solar panels, Environmentally conscious cities that could act like thermostats to maintain the ocean’s temperature and greenhouses, miles of them ! Generators, like pistons that us the motion of the ocean for power, as well as the sun, and we could harvest hydrogen. If we have the technology why not the political will to stop the ice before it is to late, A winter that has no spring is not a good idea for North America or northern Europe or China. Instead of reducing the human population to a few 100 million, Why not use humans as a resources. Not slave power but man power. The alternatives to this position is not good at all.

<p

Your parents are considering installing photovoltaic cells, which convert the sun’s energy directly into electricity, on their roof, and have asked for your help. You do some research and learn that, on a sunny day in Idaho, sunlight at the earth’s surface provides about 0.75 kilowatt/m2. Solar panels have an area of 0.5 square meter, operate at 10% efficiency, and cost $63. Your parents use electricity at a rate of 2 kW.

1. If your parents want to rely on solar electricity exclusively, how many solar panels will they need to buy? How big must their roof be (in feet) to hold the array of panels?
2. If electricity costs $0.08 per kilowatt-hour, how long will it take your parents to recoup their initial investment?

<p

could humans rig something up so that we could transfer the energy of the sun into the energy that our bodys need to survive. that way we wouldnt have to eat food to get that energy just drink water to keep our bodys hydrated?
