i want to warm up my pool but i do not want some gas pump or roof mounted solar panel system. im envisioning a cover made of bubble wrap or something like that with a layer of black film that lets sun in but not out, thereby warming up the water. is there anything like this that comes to mind, or materials that would do the trick? the pool is 6 ft deep and about 15 by 10.

I think any lightcolored tarp would do the trick. I’m thinking the lighweight, light-blue kind. This will let some sun in and trap the heat. It will be hard to find bubble wrap in rolls that big, plus it’s not sturdy enough. It will eventually rip, get sun damage, and pop. If your going that route, you might as well buy a solar blanket that’s made for the pool.
buy a solar cover.
