I need to know the largest solar panel / photovoltaic company in the world and in Asia.
I heard that Sun Tech is one of the biggest but I need a more reliable source of information. Can anybody help?

There are a lot of ways to define largest:
- sales
-market cap
- number of units placed
- number of employees
You should be more specific. Also, remember that some companies that make solar are part of a bigger company, so it is hard to differentiate the solar part from the rest of the company.
Well there are three big big big boys in the game
Sharp
Sanyo
BP
Shell would be in the top two if it had not sold their solar products side to Solar World. Solar World is a growing new kid on the block. They would not even be known if they had not gotten lucky and bought out the small solar side of Shell.
But Sharp and sanyo is big in the USA and in Asia. BP is big in Europe and the USA. But then they were big before they got into solar.
