i just watched ***** scince on National geographic and it said that the sun is getting hotter every year eventually it will kill everything. Can we just build a solar panel roof to cover the entire U.S and Asia ?? just curious

The sun does indeed get bigger, hotter and brighter every year. However, over the last 5 billion years the temperature and radius has only increased by about 6%
So it’s not something that is gonna happen imminently. In fact we will most likely have wipe out the human race long before the sun becomes a problem
If you want to know more about why the sun gets bigger and hotter, or about why the sun will become a red giant in about 5 billion years and really destroy life on earth – let me know.
Great answer angela
xD
The sun is getting warmer, but its luminosity is increasing at less than 1% per hundred million years – so we have a long time before we need to worry about it.
In 1 to 2 billion years, the Earth’s surface will so warm that water will evaporate and not condense – that is the beginning of the end. And that’s assuming we haven’t raised the temperature high enough ourselves in the meantime with global warming and the serious production of greenhouse gases.
Just curious – why would you suggest a solar panel roof to cover just the US and Asia. What about the entire rest of the world (Europe, Canada, Mexico, South America, Africa, Australia).
It will take place in billions of years from now.
However this theory is almost entirely disproven. Our sun will actually most likely become a white dwarf because its hyrdogen fuel will run out before it reaches a fision rate to continuing growing… that is unless within that time another star enters the same gravitational pull.. but the earth will not be around for that to be sure.
We are in more danger in Global Warming then the Sun killing us.
